Our Practice: What to Expect
The initial appointment takes up to two hours and includes a thorough medical and personal history, description of complaints, a review of the functioning of the systems of the body, and a physical examination. Sometimes this first visit also includes an acupuncture treatment. Each patient's response to treatment varies according to the severity of their illness, how long they have had it, their general health, and lifestyle. Typically, follow-up treatments are given once per week for the first six to eight weeks. As the patient improves, visits are reduced to once every ten days, two weeks, once a month, and so on. Most patients continue with care as desired to maintain their health and facilitate growth.
- Our normal office hours are 8:00 am to 6:00 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
- Our Fees are $180 for the initial two-hour visit, and $90 for subsequent visits, typically lasting about an hour.
- We accept checks, credit cards, and debit cards.
- Although we do not accept insurance, we provide receipts you may submit for reimbursement.
Carolyn Mueller, our kind and efficient receptionist, is available to answer your questions or schedule time with us. We are accepting new patients, and would be delighted to hear from you.
Both April and David, in addition to meeting the licensing requirements for the State of Washington, meet the continuing education requirements to be listed on the Worsley Institute's Practitioner List, indicating their ongoing study of Classical Five-Element Acupuncture with Judy Worsley. In addition to treating patients, April and David supervise clinical training for Classical Five-Element Acupuncture students. They also host Patient Consultations with Judy Becker Worsley, and provide ongoing continuing education for practitioners in cooperation with the Worsley Institute of Classical Five-Element Acupuncture.
